Dos Bigotes specializes in LGTBI, feminism and gender issues. Its objective is not to exclude anyone, but quite the opposite: "we believe that good literature interests all types of readers, beyond questions of gender or sexual identity."

We spoke with Gonzalo Izquierdo and Alberto Rodríguez, editors of Dos Bigotes; two journalists who in 2014 embarked on the creation of an independent publishing house motivated by their love for literature.

“Where did the idea of ??setting up the publishing house come from? What makes this publisher a home-place to publish?”

“Dos Bigotes emerged from a layoff. In the summer of 2013, the newsroom of the publisher in which we both worked was practically dismantled and, instead of looking for work as journalists, we decided to embark on an adventure called Dos Bigotes. In this sense, we were able to turn the tables and turn an adverse situation into an opportunity to do what makes us happy.”
