The XXIV Meeting of Ibero-American Poets, coordinated by Alfredo Pérez Alencart, will pay tribute to Antonio Colinas. It will be held on October 12 and 13 at the Liceo Theater in Salamanca and will bring together 130 poets from different Latin American countries.
This activity is organized in collaboration with the Salamanca City Council.
Antonio Colinas (1946) is a poet, narrator, essayist, and translator. Among other recognitions, he has obtained the National Prize for Literature (1982), the Reina Sofía Prize for Ibero-American Poetry (2016) and in Italy the Dante Alighieri Award, which he received in 2019 in the Senate of Rome. He has been an Adoptive Son of the City of Salamanca since 2011 and presides over the City of Salamanca Award for Poetry.
