Big names on the Publishnews bestseller list - Nielsen Spain

The big publishing groups pull out their entire arsenal to top this week's best-sellers list. Pérez-Reverte, Aramburo, Navarro and young adult literature, are the best sellers according to Publishnews.es - Nielsen.

For yet another week, the large groups account for more than sixty percent of the sales figures for the country's best-selling books: Penguin Random House regains its prominence with the landing of “El Italiano,” the new novel by Pérez-Reverte that went straight to the number one spot. Aramburu falls to second place with the regular edition of “Los vencejos,” although the special hardcover edition continues to rank among the top literary books. The novelties of this comeback, and the premiere of the Dune movie, are the protagonists of this category (the one that accumulates the most sales in the sector) where no independent publisher of these two large groups has managed to place any book among the twenty best sellers.

Among the best-selling nonfiction books, this week we found little change: Psychology and diet books remain on top. The poetry book “Exilio topanga,” by Enrique Bumbury, published by La Bella Varsovia, a genre that also includes “Fragilidades,” the book by Sara Búho published by Lunwerg, manages to enter the list with force. Íñigo Errejón’s memoirs “Con todo,” published by Planeta, also makes the list.
