The Booker Prize, one of the most traditional literary prizes in the world, published this September the list with the 6 finalists of its 2021 edition, a list dominated by titles published by Penguin Random House.
Among the authors competing for the 50,000-euro prize, the absence of the Nobel Prize in Literature Kazuo Ishiguro stands out. Ishiguto had been selected as a semifinalist with the book Klara y el sol, published in Spanish by Anagrama.
Among the finalists we can highlight No One is Talking About This (Bloomsbury) by Patricia Lockwood, the only newcomer shortlisted this year; or the South African Damon Galgut who with The Promise (Chatto & Windus, Vintage, PRH), is a third-time finalist, having previously been recognized by The Good Doctor in 2006 (Atlantic) and In A Strange Room in 2010 (Atlantic).
