The Library of Navarra, Liber 2021 Prize for the promotion of reading in libraries open to the public

For its 150 years of existence that demonstrate the importance and continuity of an essential public service for a modern community.

The Library of Navarra (Nafarroako Liburutegia) has been awarded the Liber Prize 2021 for promoting reading in libraries open to the public. With this award, the Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain (FGEE) recognizes the great work carried out by this entity in favor of books and reading throughout its 150 years of existence. A complete demonstration of the importance and continuity of an essential public service, such as the librarian, for a modern community. The library has managed to become a social space for integration and interaction with a wide range of information, training and leisure resources and services for all citizens. (by Evaristo Aguado).
