The juries of the National Prize for the ‘Work of a Translator’ and the National Prize for the Best Translation of Spain, have proposed Anne-Hélène Suárez to be awarded the National Prize for the Work of a Translator 2021, ..

and Helena Cortés Gabaudán with the National Prize for the Best Translation 2021, for her translation into Spanish of the original in German of the work El Diván de Oriente y Occidente (Office of Art and Editions, 2020), in German West-östlicher Divan by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Each of the prizes is endowed with 20,000 euros.

The National Prize for the Work of a Translator, convened by the Ministry of Culture and Sports through the General Directorate of Books and Reading Promotion, aims to distinguish the work of a Spanish translator, whatever the language or languages used in the development of their work and that they have devoted special attention to the translation of foreign works into any of the official languages of Spain.
