From September 10 to 26, El Retiro Park will once again host the Madrid Book Fair. One of the largest cultural events around books and reading in Spanish, the fair undertakes the recovery of a missed year to commemorate its 80th edition with a varied program that honors the anniversary in style with the slogan #laferiadelreencuentro.

In the presentation ceremony of the fair, which was held last Friday, September 3, Andrea Levy, delegate of the Government Area of ??Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Madrid City Council, congratulated all for the great effort that was involved in facilitating an in-person fair again considering the safety challenges of sharing, meeting, and the magic moment of de-virtualizing. In addition, she recalled that, last year, the Madrid City Council unanimously decided in the ordinary and extraordinary sessions of the municipal plenary session, to grant the title of Special Citizen Significance and General Interest for the city to the Madrid Book Fair.
