Carles Francino, director of La Ventana on Cadena SER, and the series Patria, (HBO) based on the homonymous work by Fernando Aramburu, has received the Liber 2021 award for promoting reading and for the best audiovisual adaptation of a literary work, respectively.
The Board of Directors of the Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain (FGEE) has wanted to recognize the work of Carles Francino as director of the radio program La Ventana, as well as the attention he devotes to the literary world, in addition to his support for creativity in general. Francino has been directing La Ventana since 2012, which has been broadcast since 1993 from Monday to Friday on Cadena SER.
In it, he devotes attention to news and current affairs in the world of books through informationals, interviews, and reviews, especially in the space La Ventana de los Libros. In addition, this year he is going to celebrate the fifteenth edition of his Short Stories contest: an initiative that seeks the participation and creativity of listeners who chain their micro-stories successively over the weeks of a season from beginning to end.
