On the 6th and 7th of September, Barcelona will host, for the sixth consecutive year, the VI Forum Edita, a new edition of the international forum that analyzes the state of affairs in the world of publishing and books in general.
Organized by the Gremi d'Editors de Catalunya and the UPF School of Management, this year's edition will focus on the creativity and resilience shown by the different agents in the world of books during the pandemic.
The Forum, which has more than 600 registered members, is supported by the Barcelona City Council, the Department of Culture of the Generalitat, the Ministry of Culture and CEDRO.
This year's edition of Forum Edita, entitled "Creativity and resilience in the world of books" will analyze the main challenges of the book value chain, after having experienced an acceleration in the change of habits of readers in the context of the pandemic. The opportunities that have been opened are great, and during these two days, the perspectives from both the internal and external markets will be analyzed, and the impact that infrastructures such as large reference libraries in city centers have on Europe will be debated, now that Barcelona has recovered the project to start it.
