26th International Conference for the Promotion of Books and Reading

As every year, the Mempo Giardinelli Foundation meets at the International Conference for the Promotion of Books and Reading, bringing together renowned international academics to debate, inform and propose reading strategies, as it has been doing since 1996.

The conference will include different members of the literary world and the promotion of reading as guests, both from Argentina and from several sister countries. Among them Susana Nanni (Italy), Paco Abril, Biblena Collado and Beatriz Sanjuan (Spain), Cutzi Quezada and Ramón Salaberría (Mexico), Paloma Valdivia (Chile), Rodrigo Lacerda (Brazil) and Liliana de la Quintana (Bolivia).  There will be discussions, debates, workshops and representations of poets and storytellers. In addition, the Argentineans Claudia Piñeiro, Selva Almada, Eduardo Sacheri, Graciela Bialet, Mariano Quirós, Silvia Schujer, Claudia Masín, Sergio Olguín, Bettina González and Liliana Ancalao will be present, in addition to Lecko Zamora, Francisco Tete Romero and Oscar Yaniselli.

Participation in the 26th International Conference for the Promotion of Books and Reading requires prior registration.  Those interested must do so by mail.
