The American dream according to Obama and Bruce Springsteen

This November, the Spanish publishing house Debate, will publish a book that collects the conversations between the former US president and the rock singer.

Even beyond the milestone that his arrival in the White House represented, as the first African-American to become president of the United States, Barack Obama's term at the head of the most powerful nation in the world, was defined by his intimate relationship with culture. His vast training on the subject could be already appreciated in the books he publsihed before his election.  And he confirmed this during visits he used to make to small bookstores and the historical references he used to cite in the interviews he gave.

The book, as reported by the publisher on Thursday, will come out in English on October 26, 2021 by Penguin Random House in collaboration with Higher Ground. It will arrive in Spain a few days later. During the dialogues of several days, which have been reproduced in the book, the former president and the author of songs like 'Born to Run,' reflect on life, music, and their relationship with the United States.
