From Publishnews we continue working to improve the information we offer you. For this reason, we are expanding the Publishnews-Nielsen Spain bestseller list.

Starting today, we have added to the list of Fiction and Non-Fiction the bestsellers in the Children and Young Adult category.  We will also make available the top 10 best-selling uncategorized books in order to offer a wider global visión.  Last, we have also added a few statistics, very basic so far, of the titles in both categories: genres and publishing groups in the broader spectrum of sales, which translates to the 200 best-selling books of the week.

During the week of June 21-27, the first thing to note, is the impact that the end of the school year has had on sales. This can be seen in the amount of school books, in this case vacation notebooks, which in total sales represent 36% of the 200 best-selling books in Spain. It is followed by Fiction (31%), Children and Young Adults (26%), and Non-Fiction (7%), which only contains 14 titles of the 200 bestsellers.
