Yesterday, July 16, the winners of the XXIV Premios Nacionales de Edición Universitaria de España (National University Edition Awards in Spain) were announced.

The jury of the XXIV Premios Nacionales de Edición Universitaria, which included independent and renowned personalities from the Spanish cultural and scientific sector, has chosen the best works published by Spanish universities and research centers during 2020, at the online meeting held yesterday.

The jurors included Laura Revuelta, Editor-in-Chief of ABC Cultural; Nuria Azancot, Editor-in-Chief of El Cultural de El Mundo; Iker Seisdedos, Editor-in-Chief of Culture and Babelia at El País; Pampa García Molina, Coordinator and Editor-in-Chief of Servicio de Información y Noticias Científicas (SINC) (Scientific News and Information Service), and Juan Carlos Méndez Guédez, Chief of Literature in the Cultural Department of the Cervantes Institute.

These were the awarded works and the reasons they were chosen by the jury per each case:

  1. Infierno. Divina comedia de Dante Alighieri. (Universidad Francisco de Vitoria).
  2. Concepción Arenal. Pasado y Presente. Bicentennial of her birth. (1820-2020) (Agencia Estatal Boletín Oficial del Estado).
  3. El Centro de Cálculo de la Universidad de Madrid (1968-1973): science, art and computer science (Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
  4. RESET: Reflexiones antropológicas sobre la pandemia de COVID-19. Best monograph in Health Science. (Universitat Rovira i Virgili).
  5. Mujeres de vanguardia en Bilbao (1800-1936) Best monograph in Legal and Social Sciences. (Universidad del País Vasco).
