"Revista Litoral", for promoting reading in the media and the Anastasio de Gracia Foundation for their project "Los libros a las fábricas," have been awarded the National Prize for the Promotion of Reading in Spain for the year 2021 .
The jury has selected Litoral Magazine for its "trajectory of more than 90 years". In addition, "the magazine has a careful design and publishes monographs, anthologies and contemporary issues, which make this publication one of the most prestigious within the literary and artistic movements of the Hispanic world." At the same time the magazine which is directed by Lorenzo Saval, “maintains the spirit of the avant-garde and ventures with each issue on new creators, artists, poets, for quality design and illustration ”.
The jury has proposed the Anastasio de Gracia Foundation for the project “Los Libros a las fábricas”, “because it is an intersecting, globalizing project with a social sense, aimed at sectors of the population that are traditionally underserved in the field of reading development. More than 7,000 workers have participated in this project since its creation, which promotes reading habits in the work force and encourages workers to establish personal reading projects.”
