The participation of Spain in the fair provides the opportunity to strengthen the diffusion of Spanish literature.

The Government of Spain has approved today, at the proposal of the First Vice President of the Government and Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory of the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the Royal Decree by which the Organizing Committee of ‘Spain Guest of Honor Country’ is created and regulated at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2022.

In October 2022, Spain will be the guest of honor country at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the international professional meeting for books with the most important commercial impact, in which approximately 80% of global copyrights are negotiated.
