Barcelona Poesía returns to its regular schedule and restores the International Festival

The Barcelona Poesía festival is held from May 7th to 18th at the Palau de la Música.

Barcelona Poesía is back.  This time there will be a twelve-day edition, curated by Mireia Calafell and Josep Pedrals, which opened last Friday, May 7th with a speech conceived as a proclamation of a major festival by the poet Albert Garcia Elena. The festival will be held in several locations ranging from the Casa de la Misericòrdia and the Verger of the Frederic Marès Museum, to the Centro Cívico Convent de Sant Agustí, the plaza del Rei, the Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria, the Casino L'Aliança del Poblenou, the Sala Beckett, Casa Amèrica Catalunya, the Casa Orlandai, the libraries Guinardó-Mercè Rodoreda, Jaume Fuster e Ignasi Iglésias-Can Fabra, the Centro Cultural La Farinera del Clot, the Centro Cultural Albareda and the Palau de la Música.

This year's edition (with a poster by the illustrator Riki Blanco) will pay tribute to the authors Felícia Fuster, Joan Margarit, Joan Triadú and Josep-Ramon Bach and will maintain two of the characteristics that define the festival: a clear commitment to be open to the world and its many languages ??and a multidisciplinary character that will once again blend poetry with other artistic genres such as dance, plastic arts, and music; always with thoughts and ideas as conducting threads.
