"Sangre de Baco", the new historical novel by Luis Manuel López Román, is the second installment of the Marco Lemurio Series.

This novel continues with the story of the peculiar Roman magician who wanders through the suburbs of the imperial city. The neighborhood in which he lives, the Subura, is a meeting place for all the dispossessed Romans. Where heinous crimes are committed among its inhabitants while the patricians look away.

The intentions of the Madrid writer is to publish seven novels about this peculiar character. “I have an overview of what the entire plot is going to be, I even have the ending planned, but not what will happen in each of the books.  Of course, each story I write will be a stand alone book, even if leaving several lose ends of the general plot,” the writer tells us in an extensive interview about his new work.
