Bookwire’s catalog will form part of the fingerprint library developed by CEDRO. Bookwire and CEDRO have teamed up to collaborate in the development of projects that promote a secure digital ecosystem for the intellectual property of the publishing sector.

This alliance will help authors and publishers to have the tools that allow them to obtain traceability of the uses of their works and identify legal and unauthorized uses.

As a first result of this collaboration, Bookwire will integrate their catalog into the library of books, newspapers, magazines and sheet music fingerprints developed by the association of authors and publishers.

CEDRO will be in charge of obtaining the authorization of the copyright holders involved and of maintaining security throughout the technical process, as well as eliminating the copies of the works once they have been transformed into fingerprints.
