This fund is endowed with 500,000 euros. CEDRO, Centro Español de Derechos Reprográficos (the Spanish Center for Reprographic Rights), renews its COVID Fund for authors and publishers in order to help both groups with the significant losses in copyrights caused by the pandemic.
This is the second call for this fund, after the one launched in March of last year for the same amount.
Through this fund, direct financial aid is provided to CEDRO's partner writers, translators, journalists and publishers who are being affected by the crisis generated by COVID-19. The COVID Fund, endowed with the entity's own resources, thus strengthens and reinforces the social function that CEDRO has developed for more than 25 years.
"We are living in difficult times, and one of the priorities of our entity is to support the book and press sector, an area, without a doubt, affected by this crisis," says Daniel Fernández, President of CEDRO.
