Libranda and CEDRO sign a collaboration agreement to protect the intellectual property of authors and publishers in the digital field

The first step is the integration of the works in the Libranda catalog in a fingerprint library developed by CEDRO.

Libranda and CEDRO have signed an agreement to work together on initiatives to achieve a safer digital world for authors and publishers, free from piracy of their publications. The first step of this collaboration is the integration of the works included in the Libranda catalog in a library of fingerprints for books, newspapers, magazines and musical scores developed by CEDRO. The fingerprint library will have the information on news and background titles and will support the fight against illegal copying of protected content in the digital sphere (web pages, closed circuits, messaging services, social networks, etc.).

This library will be incorporated into SAR (Automatic Reporting Service), an application that CEDRO will launch shortly to complete the catalog of tools that they are developing to improve the protection of the intellectual property rights of authors and publishers in the world of books and the press. Through this application, CEDRO will offer authors and publishers information on where and when fragments of their works are reproduced and under what conditions.
