We are in the office of Pura Fernández, the director of the publications’ service of the Publishing House of the Higher Council for Scientific Research in the center of Madrid. A fresh, clean morning ... We are celebrating because they have turned 80 years old.
Pura Fernández: The publishing house begins with the founding of the CSIC, which is an extension of the board for the expansion of studies, in the year 1939 the Higher Council for Scientific Research was founded as such and in that same year the idea of ??creating what we then called a publication service as an appendix or structure that could derive all the investigations related to the CSIC, was officially founded in 1940, as a CSIC publication service and began to take shape with an editorial practice that throughout these 80 years have certainly been enormous, multiform and highly diversified.
