CEDRO, the Spanish Center for Reprographic Rights announces an innovative registry of digital certification of works to protect the copyrights of its authors and publishing partners.
This service, based on the generation of fingerprints of the indexed digital content, can be used to manage pending copyrights, in negotiating with technological platforms, and in any dispute regarding copyrights. The registration will be incorporated into the web pages of associations of authors and publishers that request it.
According to Jorge Corrales, CEO of CEDRO, "authors and publishers may register all kinds of textual works, such as books, articles, theses, scripts or plays, even if they have not been published."
This service, accessible from the members' private area, offers authors and publishers three benefits: registration, certification and authentication of their work.
