The agreement will be valid for 4 years with the option to extend it. The Minister of Culture and Sports in Spain, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, has signed a collaboration agreement with the president of the Spanish Center for Reprographic Rights (CEDRO), Daniel Fernández, for the protection of copyrights.
«The agreement has to do with intellectual property, with literary creation and with research. In Spain we have a very powerful model, which is a world reference for the protection of copyright. And it helps us not only to prevent piracy, but also protect the attacks on heritage. In fact, we want to promote a new Historical Heritage Law, including new heritage such as intangible and underwater and, of course, intellectual,” said Rodríguez Uribes in his speech.
