60% of teachers consider reading comprehension in the classroom insufficient. The Leobien Association, in collaboration with the Supertics Method and Edebé,
and through the V International Congress of Reading Comprehension, want to respond to the growing demand for the training in detecting reading problems. According to the latest report, "Reading Habits", prepared by the Spanish Federation of Publishers Guilds, 100% of boys and girls between 10 and 14 years of age and 93.4% of young people between 15 and 18 years old, read books.
But is this reading effective? PISA continues to point out the difficulties which the majority of young people face regarding comprehension. 80% of teachers request training to make a significant and permanent change in the level of reading comprehension of students.
