The 20 winners of the 2021 Cuatrogatos Foundation Awards have been announced.

The winning works belong to 18 publishers from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Spain and Mexico.

On January 28, the winners of the Cuatrogatos Foundation awards were announced. This is the seventh year that the Miami-based Cuatrogatos Foundation has recognized the best works in Spanish for children’s literature. An award that arouses great expectations among editors, authors, illustrators, booksellers and promoters of reading in the United States and Latin America. This award was created in 2014 for the purpose of distinguishing 20 significant books each year for their literary and artistic values.

Throughout the year, the organization reads and evaluates the books that come to them through different channels (publishers, distributors, literary agencies, authors, writers, etc.), picking 20 winners, out of which twelve finalists are chosen and a list of one hundred recommended works is made.
