Personal selection of some of the iconic books for little ones. I love children’s literature.
I mean, how silly it is. Take for example, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” which is published by Kókinos in Spain in three diffirent formats. It is about a caterpillar that stretches in the sun and page by page eats different foods until it turns into a butterfly in the last page. The book includes real little holes and that’s all.
The author, Eric Carle, came up with the idea of the holes in 1969 and still in 2020 the book continues to sell by the tons all over the world. Authors have written books with up to 100,000 words hoping to make them relevant until at least the next year and barely making it. Eric Carle is now relaxing in the sun of Key West, Florida after having written a couple of pages with four drawings almost 50 years ago.
