Those who left us in 2020

At the end of this year, we pay tribute to the cultural personalities who have passed: José Luis Cuerda, Quino, Morricone, Marsé, Aute, Rosa María Sardá, Le Carré...

This eternally long 2020 has finally come to an end and, as every year, we look back to remember once again the personalities of the Spanish and international cultural world who left us this year.  José Luis Cuerda, Sean Connery, Quino, Ennio Morricone, Juan Marsé, Rosa María Sardá, Javier Reverte, Juan Genovés, Luis Eduardo Aute, Pau Donés, John Le Carré… There are many creative souls whom we will miss.  Some changed our lives forever, others will become legend for their early departure. 

Some are known internationally, others are important figures of Spanish culture.  We want to remember all of them, unfortunately there is no room to pay tribute to all of them and the legacy they left in the arts.  On January 7, 52-year old writer and journalist Elizabeth Wurtzel died of breast cancer in New York.  The American author became famous in 1994 for her autobiographical novel ‘Prozac Nation,’ a confessional account that opened the debate on depression and its treatment which was also portrayed in the big screen.
