Interview with Manuel Guerrero, winner of the First International Poetry "María Teresa Espasa" Prize for Short poetry with his poem collection, "The same myth, another voice".

On April 23, 2020, International Book Day, poet Manuel Guerrero Cabrera won the First International Prize for Short Poetry "María Teresa Espasa".

He did it with his collection of poems “The Same Myth, Another Voice,” in which he adopted a feminist point of view from various female archetypes belonging to the classical world (such as Pandora, Medusa ...).

The jury, chaired by María Teresa Espasa, was made up of Mar Busquets Mataix, Raquel Lanseros, Stella Manaut and Blas Muñoz Pizarro as members, (and Elia Saneleuterio Temporal as secretary without voice or vote) who unanimously agreed to grant the coveted award to Guerrero's work for its unique literary style.

In this interview Manuel Guerrero Cabrera will tell us how he received that news, and how he came up with the idea of ??writing such a peculiar book and what he wanted to convey to us through his verses. At the end of the interview, the poet will share with all of us one of his poems, titled “Proserpina Is Not Happy in her Marriage,” which forms part of “The Same Myth, Another Voice” (Lastura, 2020).
