The return of “Stalingrad,” the novel censored by the Soviet regime.

Galaxia Gutenberg re-publishes the book written by Vasili Grossman, author of “Life and Destiny,” which contains unpublished fragments censored from the original work.

“Stalingrad,” the great work of writer and journalist Vasili Grossman, adds one more chapter to its unique publishing journey.  After suffering from the censorship of Stalin’s regime and the contempt of the state-controlled media of the early 50s, the novel had to wait until the death of Stalin for a new publication. None of the versions published since then contained the entire original manuscript which Grossman had written with the object of narrating the Battle of Stalingrad during World War II.
