“Pecados veniales” (Venial Sins) is the title of the latest novel published by the Almuzara Publishing House in its noir genre collection.

A work by J. Sánchez Vázquez, who takes up the charismatic private detective Epicuro Salvatierra, whom we already met in his previous installment, “Jazz Café,” winner of the IX City of Carmona International Noir Novel Award.

On this occasion, the sleuth is hired by Alicia Giménez, a lawyer whose client is Ismael, a young teacher from a religious center who has been the victim of workplace harassment, leading to physical threats.

José Manuel Sánchez Vázquez (Córdoba, 1966) studied Philosophy at the University of Seville. He did documentation work and wrote scripts for television documentaries and was a correspondent for a nationally established newspaper. He is currently a professor at the University of Córdoba of History of Philosophy and History of Political Thought. He has been the organizer since 2011 of the ‘La plaza del bar Story Contest,’ organized by the Abades Cultural Association of the city of Córdoba.
