Laughter is the best medicine: 10 books to roll on the floor with laughter

After these last months, the best recipe: it’s time to bring some humor into our lives. We are not too keen on humor books in Spain.

At least there is not a lot of publishing, promotion or even mentions.  This has always been done better by the Anglo Saxons and they have been very successful.  (From there we get writers such as Tom Sharpe, Evelyn Waugh, Mitford and Durell).  There are times when laughter is needed a lot more than tears (although some say that nothing highlights a drama more than a joke), and this is one of them.

Here is a list with a lot of British, a bit of Woody Allen and David Sedaris – now that they have fresh new books – a German and an Australian who are a little bit lost, and two Spanish authors: a classic like Mendoza and another, Aparicio Belmonte.  And with all types of plots (yes, even death, God, Hitler, sex, koalas, and the Real Madrid Soccer Team).
