Given the great fall in editorial activity generated by the coronavirus pandemic, CEDRO brought forward to the first week of April this year's copyright distribution, in order to help writers, translators and publishers of books, newspapers, magazines and sheet music to overcome this situation.

"Bringing forward the distribution of copyrights for a few weeks is one of the measures our Board of Directors has adopted to support authors and publishers in our country at a time as difficult as the one we are going through, in which our activity has been paralyzed almost completely», affirms Daniel Fernández, president of CEDRO. And he adds that “we are studying other measures, such as a COVID-19 Fund, to help members who need it most. We are already facing losses that are undoubtedly going to be terrible, difficult to quantify, which are leading to a dramatic setback to activities to both authors and editors. ”
