As part of its September Film Club, the Institute presents the movie Thursday, September 27 at 6 p.m.

Directed by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal, “Chico y Rita” captures the steamy, vibrant atmosphere of 1940s Havana. Chico is a young piano player and Rita a beautiful singer with big dreams. From the night they meet at a dance in Havana, life pulls them together and pushes them apart like two people dancing a bolero.
