
Today we have been surprised by the agreeable news that we have been awarded, along with the Aula de Cultura project, with the National Prize for Promotion of Reading, granted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, in order to recognize the "invaluable role that different people and entities can play in promoting the reading habit."
It is an honorary prize and, as a result, it lacks financial support.
The jury defines us as "an altruistic project, with over twenty-eight years, in paper yesterday, today in other supports, being an essential reference of information and promotion of literature and of reading for children and young adults." We are grateful for this award and are honored to join a list of great names in the culture and literature of our country who have received such a prize since 1994. But this recognition must first be shared with our founder, Antonio Ventura, who in 1989 decided to create this magazine with his elementary students, and secondly with all those who have collaborated with us in both paper and digital, in writing articles and reviews, or lending themselves to being interviewed, especially in the early years, when no one knew us beyond the school Federico García Lorca of Arganda del Rey.
