University of Nevada published a history of Basque literature in English

The Center for Basque Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, announced the publication “Basque Literary History”. This work has the main purpose of presenting written Basque literature since the seventeenth century to academic centers in United States.

Nubia Macías Navarro has put an end to a decade in charge of the International Book Fair of Guadalajara. Her resignation has been a surprise, both in Mexico and in the publishing community around the globe. Macias resigned Thursday with a statement and refused to comment further, reports "El País".

New York festival celebrates poet Federico García Lorca

The number of Spaniard readers grew in 2012

The Federación de Gremios de Editores de España (Spanish Federation of Publishing Guilds) conducted a study that reveals that 63 percent of that country's population, 14 years and older, dedicate some of their time to read. It also describes the profile of the Spaniard reader: a woman with college education, that lives in the city and prefers novels, book in Spanish, and reads as a form of entertainment.
