Winner of the Biblioteca Breve Prize, Una palabra tuya narrates the story of a woman who’s dissatisfied with the evolution of her life, work, friends and love relationships. Although Elvira Lindo is perhaps best known for her comical children’s books, and for the multiple registries her language assumes taken from popular and everyday speech, in this novel she displays a superior command of language to describe and share pain, to narrate the epic of normal lives, and to show the human tragedy, of taking final responsibility for one's own happiness.
