Synopsis

Bueno, pero maybe because you didn’t take the time to do your time wisely.

After fifteen years in prison, Ed managed to surface from the basement of the system with the conviction to restart his life. Ed is a dreamer, term given to the people who arrive with their families illegally to the United States when they are children. Many of them run the risk of being deported to their country of origin, which very possibly they don’t even remember. While some of them fight to put their legal status in order, others decide to join gangs. Following their steps into the neighborhoods of Los Angeles, the journalist Federico Mastrogiovanni presents a testimony of the true fight for resistance in an environment of profound discrimination and hostility, where the lives at the limit of the Mexican and Chicano gangs appear to be a tempting option to survive.
