A Spanish economist and writer born in Barcelona in 1917.
Sampedro is one of the most significant Spanish-language authors of the 20up>th century.
He has won awards such as the International Novel prize and the National Theater prize and been a member of the Spanish Royal Academy since 1990.
Sampedro’s works include the novels Congreso en Estocolmo, El cabello desnudo, Real sitio and the short story Mar al fondo.
He has also written economics texts such as Principios prácticos de localización industrial,Realidad económica y análisis estructural and Conciencia del subdesarrollo.
