Andrés Neuman was born in Buenos Aires in 1977 but moved to Spain to study Spanish Philology at the University of Granada, where he co-edited the magazine Letra Clara and taught classes in Spanish American literature.
He is currently a columnist and cartoon script writer at the daily Ideal de Granada.
His first novel, “Bariloche” (Anagrama, 1999), was a finalist for the Herralde Prize and selected as one of the year’s 10 best by El Mundo’s literary supplement, El Cultural. He was a Primavera Prize finalist for his next novel, “La vida en las ventanas” (Espasa, 2002), and again a finalist for the Herralde Prize for “Una vez Argentina” (Anagrama, 2003).
