A winter of long-awaited reunions Fernanda Melchor, Kazuo Ishiguro, Javier Marias and Joyce Carol Oates, lead a re-entering that combines the expected returns of several international heavy names and a striking influx of unpublished authors.

Tthe world of books faces the winter quarter regrouping positions and offering the reader a well-stocked inventory after a few months of groundbreaking debuts, the expected return of several international names, and a striking influx of great unpublished works.  El Cultural has selected the most interesting works to approach this uncertain year.

Spanish books kick off the new year with new works by several writers firmly anchored in the literary scene, such as Esther García Llovet, who published ‘Gordo de feria’ (Anagrama), a surrealist noir novel set in her native Madrid.
