Calibre 3.0 is here: The popular e-book manager releases its biggest update in three years

Calibre has been one of the most comprehensive and popular e-book management applications for many years. Almost 11 years to be exact, since the app celebrated its tenth anniversary on October of last year.

After three years of development and constant refinements, Calibre has released its version 3.0, which boasts several new and important features that are great news for customization lovers, mobile device users and high-resolution screens fiends. The biggest novelty in this new version of Calibre is the new Content server. This new server now allows you to wirelessly connect to your phone or tablet and browse through your Calibre library. In other words, you can now open the Calibre server from the web browser of your mobile device and read your books any time you want, without having to keep the application running in the background, and also without having to stay connected to the Internet, since your books are stored off-line on your device. The new Calibre 3.0 supports for the first time the installation of icon themes. Just click on Preferences> Look & Feel, and on the Main interface tab find the Change icon theme option.
