Madrid, June 12, 2017.- The Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain (FGEE) has granted the Liber 2017 Prize for the promotion of reading in the Media to La Nueva España for its supplement 'Culture'.
Likewise, the Liber 2017 Prize for best audiovisual adaptation has fallen on director Juan Antonio Bayona, for his film 'A monster comes to see us', produced by Apaches Entertainment, Telecinco Cinema, Participant Media, RiverRoad Entertainment and La Trini Films. The act of delivery will take place on October 5th at the Real Fábrica de Tapices in the framework of LIBER activities, organized this year by IFEMA.
With the LIBER prize for the promotion of reading in the media to La Nueva España, the Board of Directors of the FGEE has wanted to recognize the work of its cultural supplement in promoting reading and books among the population of the Principality of Asturias. With nearly 1,200 issues published, 'Cultura' has become, since 1988, a reference for Asturian readers interested in the world of literature, music and art. Near the 30th anniversary, the varied interests of the supplement try to record cultural, artistic and scientific events, as well as specifically develop those issues that go beyond the pages of the newspaper reserved for these subjects. 'Cultura' combines the different genres (chronicles, interviews, reviews ...) to bring to the Asturians the newest and most interesting aspects of production not only the closer ones but also universal.
In the case of Juan Antonio Bayona, the Board of Directors of the Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain wanted to highlight "the excellent incorporation of the novel by Patrick Ness, published in Spain by Ink Cloud," A monster comes to see me ', Is an exponent of the symbiosis between literature and cinema.
