LIBER 2017 welcomes all sectors of the book trade

Organized by IFEMA and promoted by FGEE, to be held on October 4 to 6 in Pavilion 14 of the Madrid Trade Fair. Madrid, May 30, 2017.? Madrid once again will host the foremost international book event in Spanish with the celebration of the 35th edition of LIBER, International Book Fair, that, organized by IFEMA (International Madrid Fairs).

and promoted by FGEE (Federation of Spanish Publishing Guilds), will be held in Madrid on October 4 through 6 of this year.

Already consolidated as the foremost exhibition dedicated to the book trade in the Spanish language in Europe and as the most important venue for transacting business and professional interchange, the Fair is open to all sectors of the book trade, with special emphasis on digital content, new publishers, self-publishing, and literary agents. In this sense, LIBER 2017 is once more promoting the Digital Zone, a space developed to highlight new tendencies and innovations in the publishing field such as digitalization, reading devices, training, apps, commercialization, online marketing and distribution, social reading networks, applications that offer the user interactive experiences, publishing management software and metadata, anti-pirating solutions, etc. This space, aimed at companies specializing in the digital environment, will be complemented by a program of presentations about technological tools, innovative products and services, and tendencies relevant to the sector. In short, it will provide an encounter with contents, ideas and technologies designed to respond to current publisher needs vis-a-vis the challenges presented by digital products and services and new habits of cultural consumption.
