“The novel El navegant, by Joan Lluís Lluís has been awarded by Crítica Serra d’Or Award for the best novel published in Catalan in 2016. The Crítica Serra d’Or Award are the most prestigious in the country since it is given only to already published books.
It is actually the second time that Joan-Lluís Lluís receive this prize, which was awarded to him in 2009 for his novel Aiguafang. This second award only confirms that he is one of the most prestigious novelists Catalan literature today.
El navegant or “The navigator” was considered “the best novel of 2016? by a jury of critics, booksellers and librarians consulted the newspaper El Periódico and has reached the 3rd edition and around 4,500 copies sold.
Currently the book is under consideration for its translation by several foreign publishers.”
