Amazon publishes a list detailing the best-selling ebooks of the last five years

Juan Gómez Jurado was the best-selling author for this lustrum, while La última cripta (The Last Crypt) by Fernando Gamboa was the book with the most sales, although it did not top the best-selling list in any of those years. Kindle, a division of Amazon, has just celebrated its fifth-year anniversary of operations in Spain, .......

and to commemorate it, has just announced the list of five best-selling books in the country during that period. The list reflects the rankings of the five most successful books on Amazon.es, one of the most important platforms for selling books in electronic format. As a curious note, the company confirmed that the first ebook to be downloaded, “just six minutes after midnight on December 11, 2011” was Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert.  The most successful author on the basis of cumulative sales during this lustrum was Juan Gómez Jurado, while the most sold book was La última cripta by Fernando Gamboa, in spite of not attaining first place in sales in any of those years.
