"El silencio es oro" by Juan Ramón Jiménez

"Silence is gold", the book that more than a century ago, was imagined by the inexhaustible genius of Juan Ramón Jiménez, with 83 poems, 36 of them unpublished . Juan Ramón Jiménez has no limit.

His work is a source of beauty that is not exhausted and now, among other projects, “Silence is Gold”, the book he imagined over a century ago, with 83 poems, 36 of them unpublished, and written in his retreat of Moguer (Huelva) in 1912, book that marked the way towards his naked poetry, is published.

A book that shows how the poet, after passing through Madrid, "where he did not have very good experiences", retires to his town of Moguer in 1911, "leaves all the influence of Modernism and French literature, approaching a way of simplicity ", comments Carmen Hernández-Pinzón, grandniece and heir to the Nobel Prize.

Juan Ramón Jiménez (1881-1958) wrote this book in the same period as "Platero y yo", and like many of his other works was never published in full, though with this piece he did try. But it is now when this work comes to light,  immersed in an atmosphere of physical and spiritual solitude.
