Martín Saurí wins the Grand Prize of the Salon del Comic Fair

'I will never be 20 years old', awarded as best work of Spanish authorship
Sketch artist Josep Maria Martín Saurí (Barcelona, 1949) has won the Grand Prize of the 35th Barcelona International Comic Show, held until Sunday, "for his long dedication to the world of comics."

Among his emblematic works are La Odisea, with a screenplay by Francisco Pérez Navarro, which was published in 1983 and which serialized the Heavy Metal magazine, and the biographies of Alexander the Great and Shakespeare for Bruguera.

The show prizes were awarded to “I will never be twenty years old” of Jaime Martín (Norma Editorial), judged the best work of Spanish author published in Spain in 2016; “The Vision”, by Gabriel Hernández Walta and Tom King (Panini Comics), best foreign work; Paranoidland, best fanzine, and Javier Rey, as best revelation author.
