The Institut Ramon Llull announce the Open Call for Translation and Residency Grants

Translation Grant: Addressed to publishers that will publish an original Catalan work from July 2017 until November 2018. The deadline for applications will be 18th April 2017. Purpose of the grant: Translation of the following types of works originally written in Catalan or Aranese...

fiction, poetry, drama, graphic novels and scholarly works (non-fiction and works in the Humanities field). Applicants must carefully consult the Grant Guidelines (published at the DOGC in 16/02/2017) and the Grant Announcement (published at the DOGC in 22/02/2017), since some changes have been introduced and the guidelines are different than last year ones. Application forms must correspond to the 2017 call forms.

Residency Grant: Addressed to translators that are currently working on the translation of an original Catalan work. The deadline for applications will be 28th April 2017.

Purpose of the grant: Support to translators working in the translation of Catalan literary works, through a stay in a residency in Catalonia.

Duration of the residency: between two and six weeks, excluding August weeks.

Beneficiaries will stay free of charge in an apartment on the campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and will have an endowment to cover living expenses.
