Awards recognize the work of two authors

Fernando García de Cortázar won the Premio de Novela Histórica Alfonso X El Sabio, and Ciriaco Morón was awarded the Premio Menéndez Pelayo.

Fernando García de Cortázar has won Premio de Novela Histórica Alfonso X El Sabio in its twelfth edition with his novel "Your face with the tide." The historian and director of Dos de Mayo, Nación y Libertad foundation, is known for his large bestsellers, of great historical accuracy. Read more here.

The humanist, philologist and expert on the history of ideas Ciriaco Morón Arroyo has been awarded the XXVII Premio Internacional Menéndez Pelayo by the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo y el Colegio de México. “My activity has been learning and teaching reading,” said the author of Nuevas meditaciones del "Quijote" (1976), Sentido y forma de "La Celestina" (1974), Calderón, pensamiento y teatro (1982) y Para entender el Quijote (2005).
