The secret to engage young and future readers

During the 7th edition of the conference “Lessons and teachers,” organized by the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo and the Santillana Foundation, three authors explored ways to engage young readers, creating better reading habits and correcting the mistakes made in the past, reports El País.

The goal is to have more readers, leaving behind the bad practices in teaching children to read. The expectation is to improve reading plan development in schools and colleges. All this is part of the analysis on children's literature by authors Joan Manuel Gisbert, Maria Isabel Molina and Jordi Sierra i Fabra at the seventh edition of the conference “Lessons and teachers.”

The event, held last week in Santander, Spain, was organized by the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo and the Santillana Foundation. Read the complete story here.
